The Spider-Bike 3.0 represents a project that started five years ago and continued to evolve until its official presentation on the first anniversary of the Northern Growl Garage. This motorbike is not only a symbol, but also the starting point for the passion and work of Team Northern.

The basis of the project is a 2015 Road Glide Special equipped with a Screamin Eagle Stage IV engine and S&S component upgrades. Initially mapped with Screamin Eagle, we decided to install wideband autotune probes and remap it with Dynojet at a specialised centre for a better management of the parameters.

The chassis was completely revised with Ohlins FGR203 forks (740mm) and dedicated plates at the front, while at the rear we fitted HD044 (327mm) shock absorbers for a sportier set-up. The swingarm is a component made by Brock’s Performance, a reference brand for the racing world. Brembo calipers and Galfer discs ensure the best braking performance, thanks also to the aeronautic tubes.

The footpegs, levers and pumps are by Rebuffini, while Vity’s Design risers, previously installed at 10‘’, have been modified to 8‘’ for improved rideability. The LePera Tailwhip Long Legs 2‘’ saddle provides a lighter aerodynamic position, while the 6‘’ Klock Werks coloured windshield replaces the 9‘’ version to improve air cutting and create a more aggressive colour scheme.

The sound system has been upgraded with Hertz components and a SoundStream radio at the front, eliminating the speakers in the side bags for a more streamlined configuration.

For the lighting, we chose the Baja Designs kit and Custom Dynamics three-function tail lights, which improve safety on the road, despite often limiting European homologation regulations.

The heart of the project is the carbon fiber, rigorously produced in an autoclave and 100% made in Italy, with a “zero-degree” weave that gives it a more race-like look. For the painting we relied on the Dox Art Factory team, known throughout Europe for their incredible creations, and the theme requested was Spiderman, inspired by the latest film episodes. Everything was enhanced with gold leaf detailing.
